I'm currently supervising a Ph.D. project on epistemic autonomy and AI, and a master's project on hinge propositions. In the past, I've supervised theses in applied and theoretical epistemology. Past courses: At UNAM, I taught a master's course on Social Epistemology and Wittgenstein. At the University of Edinburgh, I taught Metaphysics of Mind, The Greats: Plato to the Enlightenment, Knowledge and Reality, and Mind, Matter, and Language. Teacher training etc: I've trained as a university educator at VU Amsterdam by taking the UTQ University Teacher Qualification (2020), Mixed-classroom training (2019), and Active Learning training (2018). While I was Ph.D. student in Edinburgh, I held a Career Development Scholarship, which centers on developing university teachers and researchers (2010-2013), and was nominated for a teaching award (2014). As an undergraduate at VCU (2007), I took Philosophy for Children, a service learning course which introduces elementary school children to philosophy. I've also engaged in educational outreach in Amsterdam as a facilitator for the international Socrates Café. |
